Fool's Gold
Carol and Steve Robson are Fool's Gold - Acoustic Musicians with a very long track record of delivering entertaining, funny, and sometimes thought-provoking live music shows.
The shows have strong themes running through them, and there is always a mixture of original and well-known music, all delivered live. The shows feature the music - but also the stories, histories, and mysteries that lie behind them all supported by great projected visuals.
We play for Village Halls, theatres, and organisations. At the moment we are delivering two Village Hall tours every year and shows for Organisations by invitation.
We have a full range of PA, Projection, and simple lighting suitable for a range of venues. All of our gear is fully PAT checked and we carry full Public Liability Insurance.
I attended last night's gig and I just had to email and thank you again. I thoroughly enjoyed your show, it was absolutely fascinating ☺️ I’ve never seen anything quite like it, and it’s great!

Latest Tour
The next major Village Hall tour is in the Spring 2024, with our North East Mining Show, "Old King Coal'. Response for this show has been fantastic and we're really looking forward to playing for all these good folks.
There are stories and live songs aplenty in this show, featuring a mixture of well-known traditional songs and several of our own too. There's a good range of instruments in this show and of course our trademark visuals - and some new lights!.
Audiences can expect plenty to join in with, laugh about and possibly think about too!

The Shows
We discovered early on that audiences enjoy a good, strong theme - which is why all of our shows have one!
Sometimes the theme is a Mystery, or a true story of a life, an event, or a period of history. Sometimes they are funny and sometimes there's a serious side.
All we can guarantee is that audiences love them, smile, laugh, and join in with us.
The red button below will. take you to a full list of our shows currently on after - but it's always changing and we are always adding new ones!
The red button below will take you to details of the shows currently on offer, and information about requirements and fees. There is a separate link for Speaker finders for Organisations.
What a talented musical couple you are. We all were spellbound by the stories, myths and magical tales connected with your songs. Thoroughly enjoyable.
